We are an agricultural and technology company. We provide engineering services in the field of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) applications. Since 2018, we have been implementing city-centered sustainable agriculture practices in our plant factory and R&D center established in Eyüpsultan, Istanbul. We develop innovative and competitive solutions against the increasing food demand, and offer project design and turnkey plant factory installation services, with our precise plant growing recipes and production technologies that we have developed in the light of the scientific data we have obtained in these applications.

In Root Istanbul; while planting and harvesting continues simultaneously in 365 days a year, our core engineer staff continues concept project design, research and development activities for plant production of different types and capacities that can be established at home and abroad.We deliver our fresh distributions and medicinal aromatics produced with selected products, fresh and daily, to Istanbul’s distinguished markets and restaurants, without being affected by seasonal cycles, global bad weather conditions, pest infestations, or the Covid 19 pandemic. We offer healthy products with high nutritional value from field to fork without using pesticides, herbicides and pesticides.

GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES

Controlled environment agriculture, within sustainable good agricultural practices, provides crop production in the city center, completely closed to external factors, without the use of pesticides/herbicides, in an environment sterilized with HEPA, UV and Ozone filters, using up to 95% less water and fertilizer. In this way, the food you carefully prepare for your loved ones does not contain chemical residues.

The future of sustainable agriculture; It is under threat due to deterioration in soil, water, energy, labor and climate cycles. Controlled Environment Agriculture, focusing on global population distribution in cities, offers unique opportunities for agriculture by reducing human-induced damage to the water, soil, air, energy and climate cycles in accessing safe food.

ENVIROMENT FIRENDLY

In the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) production method, nutritionally enriched water is used. During their development process, plants absorb as much water and minerals as they need, and the remaining water is accumulated in tanks and recycled. Since there is no need to use pesticides and pesticides, the system does not create chemical waste into the environment. The local production and consumption model from field to fork is supported and a sustainable agricultural ecosystem is created.

DAILY and FRESH PRODUCTION

Our plants are constantly monitored and controlled with the possibilities offered by technology in a closed area protected from external weather conditions. With its microclimate feature created specifically for the plant type, it can provide uninterrupted and highly efficient standard production conditions for 365 days. In this way, we deliver our products, which we harvest at the same freshness and quality every day, to consumers on a daily basis.

HIGH NUTRITIONAL VALUE

During the production process, the minerals and elements needed by the plants are given in coordination with EC meters and pH meters. In this technique, the plant never faces thirst. Control of basic requirements such as pH, EC (salinity), nutritional values, heat, light and NFT values required for development are guaranteed with automation and technological possibilities. In this way, there is no deprivation stress in the plants, they are healthy, delicious and have a long shelf life.

LESS CARBON FOOTPRINT

With city-centered production and on-site consumption, logistics-related carbon emissions are reduced to minimum levels. If the system is supported by renewable energy sources, production with a carbon footprint close to zero is achieved and production without energy dependence can be achieved
